A webinar on the topic “’Power Converters – An Industrial Perspective” was hosted by the Industry Applications Society Chapter of IEEE Student Branch, ASIET in association with the Power & Energy Society Chapter of IEEE Student Branch, ASIET and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ASIET on 27th of July, 2020 from 5.00 PM to 6.00 PM, through an online platform. The webinar was handled by Ms. Mridula Vijayakumar, Former Senior Consultant, Power Electronics Sapiens Consulting. The webinar emphasized on the dependability of power electronics as a prerequisite for system safety in several key industries and by the end of the session, the attendees acquired the knowledge about how power converters has an important role in huge industries and how they contribute their bit in ensuring the safe functioning of those industries.
