COMET

A webinar on the topic ‘Significance of Grid connected PV in current scenario’ was hosted by the Industry Applications Society Chapter of IEEE SB ASIET, on 12th of May, 2020 from 4.00 PM to 5.00 PM as a part of COMET, an SBC level initiative by IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala. The webinar was headed by Ms. Nayana J, Assistant Professor EEE Department, ASIET.

The attendees were given a glimpse about why this topic can be their area of interest as various topics like the significance of PV, Off grid and On grid counterparts, applications of Grid connected PV and its future scopes were discussed. The seminar also paved out to be an interactive session where the students raised various question about the topic. The webinar also emphasized on the future of Grid connected PV and by the end of the session, the attendees acquired the knowledge about how significant the Grid connected PV is in current scenario, their uses in various fields of science and how it can be beneficial to the society.
